Annual Salt Lake Trip With Mom and Sisters

We had our annual Mom and Sisters Salt Lake trip. We had a wonderful time. We laughed, shopped, ate, attended the temple, sewed hats for the humanitarian center, shopped, ate and then laughed some more.

We exchange birthday gifts for each other when we are together. Susan gave us all reading glasses. I guess she thought that if she needed them, we should have some too. It is amazing what you find yourself doing at 1:30 in the morning!?

Letter from David March 9, 2009

DearFam,Everything is going good here this week was pretty awesome tons of miracles. We had the opportunity this week to give a ton of blessings it a pretty amazing thing and just to see the faith of those recieving them one of our recent converts was struggling so we gave her a blessing it was pretty amazing just to see her faith and desire. We also made a couple trips to the hospital some of the members are in there but its been an amazing week ive never given so many blessings before at first its nerve wrecking but its fun to feel those feelings go away as you start. We have been truely blessed this week and transfer on sat. we went on splits with the ward mission leader and missionaries and went and visited all the recent converts and we found 7 new investigators it was amazing we were in need for new investigators then on sunday a lady in the ward came up and said can you guys come by and teach my neice and nephew they want to get baptized. then we talked to them for a litttle bit and we have a lesson with them this week but ill tell you how it goes its just been an amazing week its awesome how many miracles you can see when you just start looking and asking and more come. oh and for moms ? they come here because there families are here and just because there good job opportunities for them up here well have a good week Transfers are this week theres a good possobility i could go but the ward mission leader called president and asked if i could stay so hopefully i do.

Sorry it cuts us off so i had to hurry we have another baptism this week his name is michael the guys pretty funny he doesnt dress up as a girl anymore and he loves the gospel and the scriptures it is pretty cool to see the changes he has made to be baptized and the testimony he has. the other lady were teaching her name is marian we've only been able to see her once throughout the last two weeks because shes been pretty sick with her pregnancy she was supposed to come to church this week and talk to the bishop about getting married but she was sick which stinks because she knows the church is true they just need to get married before she can get baptized but all is well its just been an amazing expierience here hopefully they let me stay one more.

Mike, Cassie and Kamery came to visit this weekend. We enjoyed their company and it is always sad when they have to go back home. We are grateful that they live close enough to visit often.

Kamery is now 3 months old, smiling and developing a cute little personality. We had forgotten what it was like to smell like milk all the time. We love her and find it difficult to walk by the toy and clothing department without peeking. We have already purchased her Christmas present for this year. The tough part will be not giving it to her or playing with it early.

Being grandparents has been a blessing and we are loving every minute of it!

The work is going good the language is going slower than i hoped but ill get there hopefully im starting to understand better but i cant speak that much but itll come. This week was good we have one on date for the 14 its pretty funny hes had to make some big changes to be baptized he was a smoker but now hes done with that but he was a fafafinga which in samoan is a crossdresser it is pretty funny but we read the proclamation to the family with him and told him he was a man and needed to act like and he said okay and hes changing he wore a tie to church which was good but hes got a strong testimony he loves the church and he knows its true hes solid and he knows he needs to change which is good before we taught the word of wisdom he already quit. And the other lady were teaching they want to get married they just have to talk to the bishop now they know there living is sin and shes got a strong testimony of joseph smith which is awesome we just need to get them married now. It was pretty funny this week we helped some members move to wasilla and on our way back to drop off the uhaul they got it stuck in the snow it was pretty funny there was all of these big samoans and then a little white kid trying to push it out they thought it was pretty funny they were laughing pretty hard. well everything is going good its good you got my package.
