Letter from David March 9, 2009

DearFam,Everything is going good here this week was pretty awesome tons of miracles. We had the opportunity this week to give a ton of blessings it a pretty amazing thing and just to see the faith of those recieving them one of our recent converts was struggling so we gave her a blessing it was pretty amazing just to see her faith and desire. We also made a couple trips to the hospital some of the members are in there but its been an amazing week ive never given so many blessings before at first its nerve wrecking but its fun to feel those feelings go away as you start. We have been truely blessed this week and transfer on sat. we went on splits with the ward mission leader and missionaries and went and visited all the recent converts and we found 7 new investigators it was amazing we were in need for new investigators then on sunday a lady in the ward came up and said can you guys come by and teach my neice and nephew they want to get baptized. then we talked to them for a litttle bit and we have a lesson with them this week but ill tell you how it goes its just been an amazing week its awesome how many miracles you can see when you just start looking and asking and more come. oh and for moms ? they come here because there families are here and just because there good job opportunities for them up here well have a good week Transfers are this week theres a good possobility i could go but the ward mission leader called president and asked if i could stay so hopefully i do.

Sorry it cuts us off so i had to hurry we have another baptism this week his name is michael the guys pretty funny he doesnt dress up as a girl anymore and he loves the gospel and the scriptures it is pretty cool to see the changes he has made to be baptized and the testimony he has. the other lady were teaching her name is marian we've only been able to see her once throughout the last two weeks because shes been pretty sick with her pregnancy she was supposed to come to church this week and talk to the bishop about getting married but she was sick which stinks because she knows the church is true they just need to get married before she can get baptized but all is well its just been an amazing expierience here hopefully they let me stay one more.
Love elder Rushton

Sounds like David is having a good time. Isn't it amazing how the focus of his life has changed. It sounds like he is really into missionary work. Good for him, he'll be a good missionary. He has the right attitude. It's fun to read his letters home.
